Lung Health Coalition Presents the First I.N.H.A.L.E. Award

The Lung Health Coalition proudly presented its first I.N.H.A.L.E. Award during our 2nd Annual Symposium on September 20th in Tampa, FL. This award honors individuals who Increase access, Navigate barriers, advance Health, Advocate, Legislate, and Educate for lung health.

This year’s recipient was chosen for exceptional dedication to improving lung health and saving lives through education, awareness, and equitable access to care. The Lung Health Coalition works to empower communities with knowledge on lung disease prevention and early detection, expand free or low-cost lung cancer screening for underserved populations, and adopt advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to strengthen screening accuracy and participation.

We were honored to recognize Dr. Claudia Henschke as the inaugural I.N.H.A.L.E. Award recipient.

Dr. Henschke is a Professor of Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Director and founder of the Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP). A global pioneer in low-dose CT screening, she has authored more than 500 scientific publications and played a central role in establishing lung cancer screening programs around the world.
